Cindy Sheehan Says Reporters in Crawford Support Her Anti-Bush Protest

Cindy Sheehan, who is holding an antiwar/anti-Bush protest vigil in Crawford, Texas this month demanding a meeting with President Bush to have him explain why her son, Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, was killed in action last year in Iraq, said last night that reporters on the scene have expressed their support for her.
Ms. Sheehan has received uncritical coverage from the media since arriving in Crawford on Saturday with supporters from leftist groups including Code Pink, Veterans for Peace and Military Families Speak Out.
Internet reporter Matt Drudge caused a stir on Monday when he picked up on research from the Free Republic Website that found an article from June 2004 that contradicted Ms. Sheehan's nasty recounting of her condolence meeting with President Bush that month.
Major news outlets covering Ms. Sheehan in Crawford were informed Saturday night and Sunday morning of her conflicting accounts, yet none chose to report on the disparity of her account until the Drudge Report headlined it on Monday.
In an interview with the left wing Internet site Raw Story last night, Ms. Sheehan is quoted as saying about the media covering her, ""A lot of them stay after they've done an interview and after they're done taking pictures, a lot of them say, I agree with you, and I think what youre doing is great."

Any reporter in Crawford with a computer and Internet access (they all do, of course) could have done simple inquiries that would have shown Ms. Sheehan to be a hardcore leftist agitator who hates America as much as she hates President Bush. But that would ruin their summer fun before it's begun. The media would like nothing more than to have this turn into the 'Siege of Crawford.'

Reporters cant express support. They are by nature independent gatherers of news ...not makers....er....nevermind.

Good, let them, everyone in America is on vacation and not watching this circus. The MSM and Democrats have attempted every year to rile up the public over President Bush's August move to Crawford, and it hasn't worked yet.
Still, we need to circulate Mrs. Sheehan's comments about what reporters have said to her. It's sickening.

"Seige of Crawford". Hmm. Just like those activist hysterics invading Karl Rove and Elaine Chao's private property? Ranting, raving, threatening, pounding (while claiming they are "non-violent").
National People's Action, I think they call themselves. And yes, this group is also "against this President".

"a lot of them say, I agree with you, and I think what youre doing is great." This reminds of john kerry and his support from 'foreign leaders'. "a lot of them say, 'we need you in there...yada, yada...'" No credibility whatsover.
