That's one loyal wife.
11:33 a.m.Update 2: DOC officer at UT Medical Center, Suspect on run
Kingston, Roane County (WVLT) - A Department of Corrections employee has been shot outside the Roane County Courthouse in Kingston. We just spoke with the Department of Corrections in Roane County, here's what we know:
According to sources with the Roane County Sheriff's Department, as Brushy Mountain Department of Corrections Transport Officer Wayne Morgan escorted a prisoner named George Hyatt out of the courthouse from a hearing this morning. Hyatt's wife got out of a blue Ford Explorer and shot the officer with a gun.
The prisoner and possibly another prisoner then got in the vehicle and left with the woman.
The vehicle has been located at the Subway in Kingston. It's empty, but as Volunteer TV's Eric Waddell reports that there is a bullet hole in the window, the suspects are still on the loose and police believe they may have changed cars.
There is no word on Wayne Morgan's condition, though he was transported to UT Medical Center by the Lifestar helicopter where he is undergoing emergency medical treatment right now.
Here's a description of the suspect, he's described as a black male, about 34 years of age. He's 55 and weighs about 140 pounds. He was doing 15 years in prison on aggravated robbery and assault charges.
We have a crew on scene at the Subway, one at the Roane County Courthouse, and one at UT Medical Center.
I would call her a loyal PoS. Hopefully she dies in the same fusillade which kills the PoS she is married to.
Bonnie and Clyde type.....
