A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

What if it were really true? What if you woke up one day and money really were no object? How would you change your life? Would your life change? Would it be better? Worse? Can money really buy happiness?

Let's *play like* today (and tomorrow) we can have absolutely anything in the world that money can buy.
Money's no object. What would you buy? Pretend we've already saved the world with our vast wealth, and now we're ready to spend it foolishly and selfishly. :)

Would you buy a bigger house?

Perhaps your own private island...

How many of these would you own?

Vacation around the world

You have a summer home, a winter home, a
beach house, a bungalow in the mountains....
You travel to exotic, faraway places and
stay in nothing but 5 star hotels and resorts.

AND...of course, only the best tables...
in the very finest restaurants will do.

Methinks I'd buy my own Adirondack lake, stock it with canoes, sailboats (not too big), rowboats, and kayaks, and live happily ever after.

That is, once the docs put a heck of a lot more melanin in my skin so that I don't burn in 45 minutes.

Good morning, Meg. Don't you know they are excited to 'touch down' after all the problems they had. Thank God all is well.

Why so many of each, but on the other hand, why not - you've got the money! :)

Why, I'd invite lots of water-loving visitors along, of course! Plus, fixing things isn't always at the top my fun list.

You are generous to a fault, Red. No speed boats or jet skis - sounds like a quiet, peaceful place.

What's for lunch? :)

Pish posh! I'd never share my chocolate... ;)

Yeah, quiet is ideal. All the TVS and cars and radios and planes and NOISE in general just really get old after a while.... Lunch... nothing processed. A nice pulled pork sandwich with a fresh fruit salad, grilled corn on the cob, and salt potatoes with lotsa butter. Ahhh....

Very nice set-up, Darling, though I think I'll leave Momar and Pearly, his new bride, on the previous thread. LOL!

I'm with you, Red. The very first thing I thought of was 'sailboat'. Then I think I'd go for a summer home in Bayfield, Wisconsin and a winter home where ever my grandchildren are. I have very simple tastes. :o)

Thanks for the lovely thread Billie.

I'd train for probably 6-8 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week for a while.
