Stop taking shots at your Christian brothers and sisters who are works in progress like you and I are too

No shot intended ... there will be an army with him, but, as the verses you quoted state:

From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations

The sword comes out of His mouth, the presence of the redeemed with Him adds nothing the strength and power needed or Him to defeat His enemies. At the same time, my believing adds nothing to my inherent goodness or worthiness - except as He sees fit to freely bestow it on me .

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

My reference to having trouble with "true believers" should have been worded more carefully ... it was aimed at those with a pharisaical bent.

Sorry for the confusion

"At the same time, my believing adds nothing to my inherent goodness or worthiness - except as He sees fit to freely bestow it on me."

That is great attitude. Remember we are all part of the body of Christ. The sum of the parts make up the whole. His Army will give him what I call the ability to defeat the enemy with utter overwhelming force.

".....it was aimed at those with a pharisaical bent."

Thanks for the clarification and you are perfectly correct to point this out. Those with a Pharisee like attitude are in a risky position with God.
