ANOTHER extraordinary attack by George Galloway on the UK's continuing presence in Iraq prompted calls yesterday for the incitement of attacks on British troops to be made a criminal offence.

Mr Galloway used a series of appearances on Arab television stations to praise insurgents fighting British forces in Iraq, refer to them as martyrs and to accuse the Prime Minister of using the London bomb attacks to justify the war on terror.

His comments drew strong criticism from politicians on both sides of the House, with the Labour MP Eric Joyce claiming that he was putting the lives of British soldiers at risk and the shadow defence spokesman, Gerald Howarth, calling for the law to be used to prosecute those who incited insurgents to attack British forces.

But support for the withdrawal of British forces from Iraq came from the London mayor Ken Livingstone, who said it was essential if London was to avoid more bomb attacks.

Galloway should be hanged, and then tried.

Well hell,if they really want to conciliate the islamofacists and avoid terrorist attacks, they could just do away with their parliamentary government and establish sharia law in England. That ought to do the trick,right?/s

Just imagine if Galloway would have tried this stunt during WWII...trying to justify Hitler's ongoing bombing of London during the Blitz! When are the Britts going to wake up and give morons like Galloway a good kick in their behind?

Will someone please introduce Mr. Livingstone to Neville Chamberlain.

This says it all...

Bethnal Green & Bow This inner East London seat is a largely a mix of white and Muslim, with a significant Bangladeshi population. Oona King won the 1997 election and again in 2001, taking over 50% of the vote. Oona’s majority of 10057 will be under serious threat from Respect’s George Galloway. Especially with a Black population of 33408 and Muslim electorate of over 23000 and with Oona a supporter of the Iraq War her majority could be challenged. The turnout in this constituency was only 48.5% in 2001, over 10% below than the national average. This is concerning as it has a high proportion of Muslims

How come such comments never draw charges of treason?
