Kind of like how France wanted a truce with Germany in June of 1940?

"their bitter opposition is over and that they will work to help him succeed in his new job"

Yeah, right! And if you believe that then there are some bridges in the desert for sale.

Yeah right... and the filibuster is over? As soon as Congress is back in session, they'll allow a vote? Ha!

"He's going to be there for the next 13 months," Dodd, a staunch Bolton opponent, told NBC television. "At this point here, I want him to succeed."

It is a good thing he was not hooked up to a lie detector at the time he said this.

Time to invoke the Cheyney protocol, set forth on the floor of the senate to the dishonorable Leaky Leahy.

Yeah this is definitely a good time for that response.

A truce with Bolton? WTF? The same democrats that were screaming for the heads of all Enron exectutives are all silent about the corrupt to the core UN. The UN has stolen more from American taxpayers and the Iraqi people than all of the US corporate scandals combined but the democrats can not bring themselves to criticize this stinkin rotten filthy band of third world dictators and thugs. In the sick twisted liberal mind the UN is "good" and Bolton is "bad". These bastards make me sick. The democratic party and the UN both deserve each other. They are both one and the same.

If you have not already done so, please sign the petition to get the stinking, corrupt to the core UN out of the USA. Let's help relocate these anti-American thugs to some 3rd world shithole where they belong.

I'm just as willing to blast Dems as the next guy, but honestly, what's wrong with what Dodd said here? I mean, isn't that what he should say at this point? I could very well see us attacking Dems who keep trying to undermine Bolton after this appointment. But instead of trying to undermine him, Dodd is at least accepting defeat and trying not to make it worse.

They'll work with him? LOLOL These people are a trip. Election time is coming, the president's approval ratings have actually gone up according to the very biased liberal media. OH my they are calling a truce? No hard feelings? What a bunch of losers!!

A note to Senator Christopher Dodd: Bolton does not work for the Senate. He works for President Bush. Maybe Dodd should consider working with President Bush.

Now that he's in, they know that none of their rhetoric will pan out and any more will be contrasted with the truth.

Shows why Bush could have easily appointed Bolton months ago, when the Oil for Food scandal was white hot. Now it has been forgotten and Coleman's hearings are over. Bullies always back down when you fight. I hope hope it doesn't take Bush this long next time.
