PLAME 'RETIREMENT' STRICTLY VOLUNTARY (ACT: no question Plame falsified FEC form)
NY POST ^ | July 28, 2005 -- | DEBORAH ORIN Bureau Chief

Posted on 07/28/2005 4:30:35 AM PDT by Liz

A liberal activist group.....said it appears that outed CIA agent Valerie Plame supplied the false information that she was "retired" when she bought two tickets to a Bruce Springsteen anti-Bush concert......

"We would not have filled something in," said an official of America Coming Together, noting that each ticket buyer was asked to list employer and job for federal election reports because it was a political event.

The $372 ticket purchase is the first revelation that Plame participated in anti-Bush activity while working for the CIA. Her husband, former diplomat Joseph Wilson, told Time.com that she "doesn't recall listing herself as retired."

Plame — who was still a CIA staffer but on a leave of absence last fall — used Ticketmaster to buy the two tickets in her married name of Valerie Wilson, the ACT official said.

Plame's anti-Bush ticket purchases raised eyebrows among Republicans.

"......Plame has the right to support anyone she wants, but she and her husband can't continue to pose as nonpartisan, public-spirited citizens," said Rep. Peter King (R-L.I.).

Oh, is THAT what they're supposed to appear to be? Let's hope she was better at pretending to be something else as a spy than she is now.

Yeah, but her 15 minutes of fame was over months ago. If she persists in trying for more, we should call for an investigation on how she was hired for a national security related job in the first place. Unless extenuating circumstances can be shown, those who hired her should be outed and booted.

Nonpartisan, public-spirited citizens. Snort!

From this 2003 link:

At a public meeting in August, Mr Wilson, a staunch Democrat himself, said: "It's of keen interest to me to see whether or not we can get Karl Rove frogmarched out of the White House in handcuffs. And trust me, when I use that name, I measure my words."

Yes, let's all get our pants in a bunch over writing "N/A" on an FEC form to purchase concerts tickets.

"Schumers" to the left and "Schumers" to the right!

They don't have to "pose". The media provides their "nonpartisan" bonafides.

D.C. Chapter ping - short list.

Check this out. According to this article you had to fill out an FEC form to purchase Vote for Change concert tickets. Can you imagine all those Bush supporters standing in line that day had filled out a form showing their support for the Kerry presidency?

The Wilsons are nothing more than a couple of political Plame throwers.

Her only options----- taking it all off for Playboy----then going on Oprah to whine about being a "victim."

Thanks for ruining my day. I've seen pictures of her and she's ugly as a mud fence with her clothes on!

Peter King is one of the few stand-up guys in Congress. All the more amazing considering he's from NY.

"... those who hired her should be outed and booted."

Porter Goss just might be working along those lines as he tries to drain the swamp.

But don't all CIA employees lie about their jobs? Just like everybody lies (even to perjury) about sex?
