The rodents are taking out one million petrels, shearwaters and albatrosses each year on the UK Overseas Territory, in the South Atlantic.

I'm sure the neocommunists, democrats and UNers can cure this problem by simply putting up signs, written in international Mouse, "Do Not Eat The Chicks!" It is the same methodology that they advocate for enddding terrorism!

No, no, no. The birds will evolve and kill the mice.

Or find new breeding grounds.

Not before they hold an international conference aimed at understanding the mice's grievances entitled "Why do they hate chicks?"

Come to think of it could be a dual purpose conference...

"The rodents are taking out one million petrels, shearwaters and albatrosses each year on the UK Overseas Territory, in the South Atlantic.

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds says the mice infestation puts some species in danger of extinction. "

Sounds like we need some "supersize cats".

If someone will pay the freight I'll gladly round up the numberous feral cats and dozens of new kittens in my neighborhood for shipment to the South Atlantic, hopefully before the next breeding season comes around. If there was some way that I could get the divorced/widowed women in the trailer park to quit feeding them or feed them birthcontrol pills, that would help too.

this?

Well, they better not try and poison the mice or set traps for them as that would be inhumane. Their best bet would be to trap them with live traps and then spay and neuter the mice and set them free to live back in their native habitat so they would be able to breed again. Or, they could introduce a natural non-native predator to the island that feeds on mice. /sc/

"The Gough mouse is one of 2,900 non-native species"

I don't see why people are getting upset,
these mice are only doing the job's that the local species don't want to do
