McKinney reopens 9/11 Conspiracy theories implicating president aired at 8-hour hearing

By BOB KEMPER The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 07/23/05 Washington — Revisiting the issue that helped spur her ouster from Congress three years ago, Rep. Cynthia McKinney led a Capitol Hill hearing Friday on whether the Bush administration was involved in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The eight-hour hearing, timed to mark the first anniversary of the release of the Sept. 11 commission's report on the attacks, drew dozens of contrarians and conspiracy theorists who suggest President Bush purposely ignored warnings or may even have had a hand in the attack — claims participants said the commission ignored.

Honestly, who knows anymore. I don't believe these theories, but the IRS proves that nothing is past the government.

I'd like to dismiss all conspiracy theorists as kooks, but the fact is that there is just so much corruption that if you don't at least entertain the ideas, then you are niave.

I hope Majette challenges her in the primary again next year. She's a lib, no doubt, but a sane, halfway reasonable lib.

Which is lightyears better then McKinny.

Oh, and Majette doesn't have that pesky jew-hating thing either.

Hmmm.... so if "Bush did it" then there's no reason to believe that Muslims are angry at us for anything after all, right? So all those cries about US imperialism enraging Muslims is incorrect and we can go ahead and keep spreading capitalism and supporting Israel, right? Because it doesn't actually bother anyone? And we know it doesn't bother them because they aren't really attacking us. Hey, that's GREAT!!! Viva la $!! Viva Israel!!

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

There's no way in Hades I would cross lines in the primary to vote for Majette again. Leave McKinney to show what nutcases the Dems really are.

Great.. Now I gotta go pound on Dreier's door and ask him why the heck didn't he take the keys to the hearing rooms with him when he left Washington. Damn I am tired of these recess hearings - it is like children playing at being leaders while the leaders are out on vacation...

Rather than just holding their own hearings, why don't the Democrats go a step further and start their own country. In addition to dealing with real problems, we have to respond to their continuous insanity. I'm sure there's an island somewhere that can accomodate the Democratic members of Congress.

Yes. McKinney does more good for the GOP in office. She's such a nut case that she's probably worth 50,000 votes in Georgia alone. Leave her be.

Besides her conspiracy theories are just lol funny.

Why?

McKinny has lots of friends to make them look bad that aren't as easily marginalized. McDermott, Rangel, Conyers, Stark, Watters, Milkulski, etc.

And as far as I am concerned, even if McKinny was bad for the D's, she's also bad for the country, certainly worse for the country then Majette.

And that's more important then party.

Her recent past campaign contributions have been heavily weighted towards out-of-district guys with names like "Muhammed al-Mohammed." Check the FEC database, or if anyone is really interested, I can go find the info from my links from a couple years ago on her (on my desktop upstairs).

I'm not sure Majette would really vote that much different than McKinney.

In any case, it's acaademic for me now, as the legislature tweaked the lines, and put us back in the 6th (Newt's old district), where we once were, and where we belong.

Georgia peanuts, Cokes and coffee were available to more than 50 attendees, whose casual dress was a decided change from the gangs of blue-suited lobbyists who usually crowd Capitol Hill hearings.

Who did the catering? Delta Air Lines?

Considering airlines haven't served peanuts in several years (those "horrible" fumes might set off an anaphylactic attack in someone allergic) I think I'd be looking at the expiration date on the packages at that dinner. ;-).

Oh gimme a break dude. No one is naive, but God gave us a brain and expects us to use it. You don't have to consider or entertain ideas that are ludicrous on their face.

The best 9-11 Conspiracy I read was one that said no planes crashed into either WTC building. So what happened, the US government took the several hundred people that were on the planes and is hiding them somewhere? I guess their families are in on it too. And the airlines, who only pretended to lose 4 multimillion dollar aircraft.

Sure you do. If you had told people 150 years ago that they would have to file information forms detailing every dollar that crossed their path, or be sentenced to daily anal rape, they would have thought you an outright loon or had you hung as a witch.

The irony is, if Bush really knew about the 9-11 threat and took action to stop it, liberals would be against that too.

McKinney's moon-bat actions are helping to quicken the pace of the modern day Left as they march toward the ash heap of history.
