"Seem's that a maintenance worker found a live Grenade somwhere here in Nevada (Reno I think) and loaded it onto his cart and called it in to police. The bomb squad determined that the round was live.Uhhh! I don't know anything about grenades but it seems to me that if it was LIVE that meant the pin was pulled and wouldn't it have gone BOOM?

Live means active explosive, as in "could be detonated at any time".
That's my understanding of the terms use.
