Can someone provide an authoritative source detailing General Pershing's conflict with Moslems? On a quick look, this is, like, bats.

I don't know how authoritative you want it, but how about this?

I don't remember all of the particulars but Pershing was having some trouble with Islamic terrorist ( I know-hard to believe, but true). Anyway, he had a few terrorists shot and made it known that they were to be wrapped in pig skin and buried. The terrorist problem abruptly ended.

Putin did more or less the same thing after he'd had the movie theater terrorist killed.

Oh Pershing had contact with muslims, all right, (in the area of the Philipines) but this particular story has been considered a military myth.
