Are you trying to imply that they are unfamiliar with tool and pipe? ;-)
They may be familiar with the materials, but certainly not with laying pipe, or "sweating the joints", as it were. I'll bet they were having supply problems - they've got the perfect mindet for handling the waste stack, IMO. ;-P
