Druids were priests of the prevalent religion in the British isles before the coming of the Romans. There isn't a lot known about them because the Romans considered them barbaric and never said anything nice about them, and the Druids didn't have a written language that we know of, so they couldn't leave any first-hand accounts. Be that as it may, the Romans pretty much wiped out the religion and little knowledge of its practices survive to this day. The modern "druids" are pretty much like the Wiccans in that they make it up as they go along.
