BAGHDAD The Iraqi government announced Sunday it had arrested a suspected member of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi’s al-Qaida in Iraq, a man it claimed was responsible for building car bombs and carrying out more than 60 bombings around the capital.

Musaab Kasser Abdul Rahman Hassan, known as Abu Younis, was arrested on May 26 during an operation in Baghdad, the government said in a statement.

“The terrorist Abu Younis is one of the extremists who has close ties to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and is the mastermind of more than 60 terrorist attacks in Baghdad, targeting governmental officials and Iraqi army and police” it said.

The announcement added that the “terrorist confessed to making more than 20 car bombs ... in addition to recruiting foreign suicide attackers.”

Separately, the U.S. military announced Sunday that American and Iraqi soldiers had captured six suspected insurgents in raids the day before around central and southern Baghdad—including someone it described as “a specifically identified terror cell financier.”

The military said the house of one detainee contained a “variety of devices used to make car bombs and roadside bombs, including vehicle foot pedal switches, mechanical timers, switches and relays.”

Taking these people into custody simply feeds the MSM and ACLU beast.

What do we do with them now...?

They should considered unlawful combatant casualties. Now they are going to be splashed all across the front pages as victims of American abuse and oppression. We are probably now too scared to send them to the Git mo.

If I was a Colonel over there, any lieutenant bringing me one of these pigs alive would find his arse on an icebreaker off the Aleutians for the duration of his script.

Let him drive a "special" car out in the desert. Far away from everyone else.

And they didn't shoot him, WHY?

Because that pleasure must wait until after he's spilled his guts.
But you knew that. ;>)

They need to fulfil his fondest dreams.

Stick him in a car. Fill it with some of the captured explosives and a pig and explode it .

Or as one senior Union officer in the valley campaign had said of the raiders in his area of command:

"I have instructed my staff to not bring any of these men to me except for internment."

He has been a busy man. Too bad his energy was dedicated to anarchy instead of furthering science education in the schools or some other work of use to civilization.

Why would you want to abuse a pig like that?

I think there is a good reason. As long as the Iraqi army doesn't "torture" him, the way we do at Guantanamo, he will tell them whatever they want to know. Letting Iraq deal with these people will get better and faster results and insulate the US from more "torture" claims. We will still be criticized by Durbin and the rest of the hate America crowd for not protecting the terrorists from their fellow countrymen. Question him first then execute him.

You bring up a good point, the next thing you know the Dums and the MSM will be demanding that these "detainees" be brought to GITNO, where people like TURBIN et al can protect them.

“The terrorist Abu Younis is one of the extremists who has close ties to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and is the mastermind of more than 60 terrorist attacks in Baghdad, targeting governmental officials and Iraqi army and police”.

FO-D DURBIN, SENATOR FROM ILLINOIS; FO- NANCY PELOSI; FO-HARRY REID; FO-TED KENNEDY; CLIENT OF AMNISETY INTERNATIONAL ; FO-HILLARY CLINTON; FO-PATRICK LEAHY; FO-JOE BIDEN; FO-ACLU AND ALL THE TERRORISTS LOVING SOCIALISTS/COMMUNESTS IN THE COUNTRY.

Just look how the MSM can manipulate the brain dead lemmings in the Socialist/communist Party aka the Democratic Party – un-patriotic to a fault, these false Americans actually believe all the propaganda coming from newspapers foreign and domestic; they parrot nearly word for word what Al Jezzera prints…using the identical Vietnam news coverage, the propaganda is taking hold.

DON’T LET IT!!!
