We should send Felt (and his family) the bill for these investigations.
After hearing Imus drone on about W&B and Deep Felt for two weeks after the news became public, I realized that:
(1) Nixon will continue to be dug up and spat upon by the commie libs.
(2) The foundation of the commie libs hatred for Nixon is Nixon's unmasking of Alger Hiss.
Felt's not even dead yet and he's already stinking up the place...
I'm thinking that besides the money---the reason why Felt didn't come clean before this is b/c he figured that the moral relativism rampant in today's culture might not allow a close examination of his actions, and would even exculpate him from his outrageous crimes against the state, and that the eternal Nixon haters would be in the forefront to cheer him on.
Wrong again, Mark.
He's no hero, he's a villain in the eyes of more than half the population (in my estimation). I know you were being sarcastic.
Correct on both counts. The Left's hatred is irrational and eternal.
The trash lamestream articles I have read all seem to say that -- no matter what Felt's motivation -- he did the right thing. Imagine that! No matter what his motivation, he did the "right thing."
Whether he did it for the fame or the money or because he was a scorned government official seeking revenge just doesn't matter! The lamestream media hacks and their demodimwit counterparts in Congress and elsewhere cheer Felt because he helped take down a non-liberal!
Liz, I know all of us here are not surprised...
Whenever the matter involves ripping a Republican or Conservative to shreds, liberals cheer and no cries of foul play or suspicious motivations are raised. Liberals: moral relavists all. They have no sense of shame whatsoever. Their credence is whatever is good for them goes. Period.
How they put Felt on a pedestal is such a far cry from how they mistreated Linda Tripp and so many others.
I loathe Felt and all the liberal loons.
Does the "W." in W. Mark Felt stand for Weasel or Worm? He should be charged and tried for espionage or filing false reports or something.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Mark Felt, the former FBI official who unmasked himself as the legendary "Deep Throat" source who leaked Watergate secrets, twice led FBI probes into finding Deep Throat, The Nation magazine said on Tuesday.
Combing through originally confidential FBI files now available to the public, co-writers David Corn and Jeff Goldberg found documents that showed Felt in charge of finding the source of Bob Woodward's and Carl Bernstein's Washington Post scoops that helped bring down President Richard Nixon.
"How Deep Throat Fooled the FBI," which shows how Felt cunningly threw the federal agency off his trail, will hit news stands on June 23 and was posted on the magazine's Web site (www.thenation.com) on Monday night.
"He was much more than a secret sharer. He was an operator," says the story, adding he "was able to watch his own back and protect his ability to guide the two reporters."
Felt, filling in for FBI Acting Director L. Patrick Gray in June 1972 yet already talking secretly with Woodward, cleverly ordered an investigation of whether any FBI official had leaked information to the Washington Daily News. Not surprisingly, that inquiry produced nothing, the story said.
In a memo dated Sept. 11, 1972, Felt wrote to Assistant Director Charles Bates suggesting Woodward and Bernstein might have been receiving secret FBI information from someone outside the FBI, prompting an investigation of the county prosecutor in Miami, who was following the Watergate money trail.
At one point, Felt officially met with Woodward in what appears to have been a move to cover himself, the story said.
Felt, responding to a request from Woodward for an interview, agreed to see the reporter in the presence of his assistant, Wason Campbell, a 25-year FBI veteran. Felt refused to confirm any details presented to him by Woodward.
"That was obviously a staged event," Corn told Reuters on Tuesday. "Felt needed cover."
Even after suspicion grew in the White House that Felt might be the source of leaks, he was again put on the case, the story said.
In February 1973, Attorney General Richard Kleindienst asked Gray to order another investigation into the Washington Post's sources. Felt was assigned the job.
Felt's memorandum said "there is no question that they have access to sources either in the FBI or in the Department of Justice."
Felt later received a report saying there were alternative sources, besides FBI personnel, for everything reported. He forwarded the analysis to Gray, who suggested to Kleindienst that possible sources for the leak were the U.S. Attorney's office in Washington and a White House official, according to the story.
Wicked... it stands for Wicked Mother F..... ...
His mommy named him well. W.M.F.
A couple weeks ago we were hoping that some more serious investigative reporters would get on MF and see what could be discovered now that there was a DT name.
That article is a gold mine of a start for this. I'm going to have to locate the whole magazine article on Monday.
I'm more and more angry about the obstruction of criminal investigation revealed by that "deep throat" article you posted. When I went to bed last night, I'd just read it once. Looking at it again this morning, it is clear to me that MF can now be the poster child for all the disloyal public servants infesting our government services.
MF was called upon to investigate HIMSELF!!! Gee, I wonder why the FBI investigation couldn't find Deep Throat???
Grrrrr....
Or Wormish Monkey F
Soooo....let me get this straight!
The Lamestream Marxist Media...THE same media that SCREAMED when they were being fed disinformation in the War on Iraq and Terrorism that would help smoke out and destry our enemies...
THAT media was WILLINGLY hand-in-glove with a cover-up and a FRAUD being perpetrated...at US TAXPAYER expense...that THEY were backing?!?!
Hmm! Methinks they doth PROTEST too much!
Time to bring down their ENTIRE corrupt house of cards!
The fact that he and his family will profit off these revelations is disgusting. It should be stopped.
