I agree with you completely, Miz. I'm sure Sharon doesn't care on whit about the money.
The fact that the Petersons would scratch and claw for every penny that they could get is what gets me. They probably applaud Scott for getting rid of those two financial albatrosses around his neck, Laci and Conner.
Sharon winning this suit might be the only way to convey to the Petersons that their son did something wrong and that there are consequences.
They never once have shown any sadness at Laci's passing, just a rush to grab what ever material benefit they could get. It's no wonder Scott turned out the way that he did.
