Whatta flashback---We built gunboats for the river fleet in veetnam using the same basic method----Building in floatation and adding high speed bows to old landing craft. I'm really sick and tired of my tax dollars being used to "intercept" these resourceful people and sink their wonderful makeshift boats. The money would be better spent welcoming them with open arms, giving them special visa status, and setting up a military base to house, train and equip them all to go take back their country. In a couple of years, there would be no more Cuba problem.

There is no other country in this world people will get on a rickety "CabRaft" to get to. This isn't a first...there have been floating "JeepRafts" and various other "CarRafts" from Cuba before.

In one day there's news of this and the guy from South Africa that bum rushes as a stowaway, to get here and dies in the process.
