@$300/share, they aren't worried.
Well, it's a nice rendering though.
I will post here what I posted there with a little addition:
yeah I am bent that ESPN didnt change their entire website to American Flags for Memorial Day, or Crosses for Easter...
seriously people there are worse things going on than what some internet search engine does....
Sorry...can't get worked up over this one.
It would be nice if they did it, but they are not obligated to do so.
(Frankly, I have never noticed Google's logo change prior to this.)
Google Schmoogle
I'm sure they see themselves as a "global" company and above the fray of petty wars and squabbles.
You know, they one's where heros fought and died to preserve freedom.
Short GOOG!!
I noticed that too. I'm switching to Yahoo search.
LOL...desperately searching to be offended. Sounds like you've got liberal victim issues.
I just can't be Perpetually Offended all the time, but you go right ahead.
Google didn't even acknowledge Christmas Day!
Good point!
This is odd, as google.co.uk had a logo for Remembrance Day:

Could it be that Google is used internationally? Memorial Day is purely an American Holiday. Frank Lloyd Wright is known internationally as an accomplished architect.
They've never had the Memorial Day page. Why is this now news?
One of the longest rants I have ever heard was from a builder when Frank Lloyd Wright's name came up. The builder is a pretty artsy guy (gourmet cook, works a lot on historic homes, etc) but definitely not a fan. LOL I guess most of FLW's houses were poorly constructed and are now falling apart.
A little too much form and little too little function.
I'm not biting. From looking through the various logos Google has had in the past, it's pretty eclectic, but all of them are for purposes/holidays that can be considered celebratory or lighthearted (including 4th of July). None of them are for holidays that would be considered overly serious, and I think with good reason. Someone is bound to get annoyed if Google starts doing their cutesy, pastel-colored cartoon logos for holidays that are meant for reflection/rememberance (i.e. Memorial Day).
No biggie.
Google is run by the usual suspects that have no respect for the country that enabled their success. AND isn't charging them userous tax rates in retribution for said success.
So what, they're no different than the mainstream Dimocrat party. Consider the source.
As an aside, I live in Lakeland,FL where a portion of the FSC campus was designed by FLW. They give tours and are all la de da about it. Having been through it many times and driving past it every day, I have never gotten what anyone sees in his work. The hallways are low ceilings, the buildings are musty, and the style nothing special.
All that aside, do I really give a crap what anyone at google thinks??
If you vist the About Us page on Google, you will find a link to ALL of their logos.
The one for the Fourth of July looks patriotic to me...
