sure it doesnt dictate my life, but I am wary of EVER allowing any future children of mine into the Boy Scouts. Sorry, but that it just the way I am now. You can thank Cub Scout Pack 24 and Pack 97 (primarily) for this in Waynesboro, PA.

Of course, sometimes if we've had a bad experience, it can stay with us for a long time. If we let it fester, though, it isn't good. The Good Book said to forgive others. It took me years to forgive some who wronged me. I still have to ask others to forgive me when I have wronged them. You may forgive the person but not the deed as well.

I can forgive all I want, but I won't forget. If I could forget, then I might change....

I am like that sometimes. This happened during my formative years. It really colored my teen years and now, I guess, even my twenties....

Yes, it is hard to forget. I got fired from a job one time. This girl had asked if I could cover her shift and I said no, but to call me if she REALLY needed it. She didn't show up (and had never called me), but the manager blamed me. So I got canned. It took me years to get over that, but I did.

I still get like that too, but I am dealing with it better than I used to, now that I am "older and wiser" in my 30's--NOT.
