Target practice on your own land is not a issue in Oregon or Washington. I am very pro second amendment. Have my cc permit in two states. If this is all legal and above board, if they are American citizens and not up to anything fishy, I certainly have no problem with it. Between their names (yeah, I'm profiling), their location on Larch Mt., and the gas masks you could say my fishy meter went off.

I didn't want to come right out and say it, but yes, this is accurate. There have been several residents of Greensboro, NC with this surname. That the two of them had a gas mask is the major point of concern, not to leap to conclusions, but what purpose could this possibly have served, while shooting practice targets? He wouldn't be the first to come out of here with ties to radical Islam, and probably won't be the last, sad to say.

Sure it can, a gun doesn't have to be fully automatic to qualify as an "assault rifle".

Thank you, that's a real pet peve of mine when the media throws the term "assault rifle/weapon" around so carelessly. If it can't shoot automatic or 3 round burst, it's nothing more than a glorified plinking gun!

Haha, I'll correct myself: the military-looking rifles like the AR-15 or AK-47 clones are nothing more than glorified plinking guns if they can't shoot select fire. THAT on the other hand, is one hell of a target rifle.
