If the child was traumatized, maybe there is a problem. If the incident was simply a prank, fine, but making mama's boys out of our children is getting out of hand. So much as hurting their ego is now considered "abuse".
Point is, the teacher didn't act as an adult.
Would you view this differently if the child was held down and was forced to kiss the teachers. . .backside?
>>There is a lot more to this story that is not being told. I will not say anything more <<
Difference is they choose to do so, as opposed to being forced to do so.
I tend to agree. The teacher didn't MAKE this kid lick her toes. A bit of over reaction is going on, IMO. Sounds like the kid went along with the teasing his buds were giving him and it probably happened in split seconds, and caught the teacher off guard.
"Point is, the teacher didn't act as an adult."
No, she didn't act like an adult, but that is far from saying the teacher "abused" the child. I don't know all that went on there, but it would seem reasonable that if this was a prank, and the child hasn't regressed into a dark corner crying his eye out, there may be no need more than a lecture to the teacher about participating in such antics.

I think butts are bit different than toes, such as the difference between breasts and toes, right?
Nobody puts their hands on my children and forces their mouth to come into contact with ANYTHING, let alone a part of an adult's body.
Joking, my ass. I'd make sure this b****'s face came in contact with my fist, repeatedly. But hey, since I didn't receive any sexual pleasure from it, I can't be arrested, right? I'd make sure to absolve myself of any wrongdoing by insisting that I was "kidding around" when they wheeled her bloodied carcass into the ambulance.
We have enough problems in school without this kind of cr*p going on.
Damn right.
Incidentally, since there was no "criminal intent" for sexual perversion, I wonder if the law would provide for simple assault charges in cases like these?
That would be a rough sort of justice, yes. Just make sure nobody sees you, because that would still be Assault and Battery.
Oh. . .I dunno. . .there are times when a butt looks a lot like a face (Helen Thomas), perhaps.
OK, that would be cruel and unusual punishment and grounds for charges of child abuse!
Would you be this dismissive about this form of subjugation if it happened to one of your kids (provided you have any kids)?
Wow, ever consider anger management classes?
Having some dumbass adult participating in this event is over the line. It was her responsibility to STOP IT, not sit around and laugh about it.
If her maturity level is on par with the kids she is teaching, she has NO RIGHT to be in the classroom.
"that would still be Assault and Battery."
I don't care.
It could easily have been all in fun. I would know instantly by my son/daughters reaction and demeanor when questioned. I think the teacher should not have gone along and put a stop to it, joking around or not. With all the news of teacher/student cavorting lately you'd think she'd be more uptight about something like that.
(Otoh, were my son/daughter to tell me of this and show distress, humiliation, etc. Then I would be calling for her head too, and may go to jail myself)
Just how in hell do these people keep getting past all of the supposed "safeguards", and ending up in contact with young children.
Silly question really, of course it's because the Teacher's Union is out running interference for them. One of these days the Union is going to be held accountable for thier teachers, the same way the Catholic Church is being held to account for the conduct of some of its priests.
