Many farmers and construction contractors in Idaho - closer to Canada than Mexico - say they could not survive without the pool of workers from Mexico.

I used to work in construction, mostly siding. I got out of it many years ago. The price contractors will pay per foot of siding applied hasn't changed in 30 years because of illegal workers. This isn't a "job that nobody else wants"; it is a job that nobody else can afford to take, because illegal workers have pushed legal workers out.

Only the current GOP could take a winner of an issue, a perfectly reasonable application of law in deporting illegals, and transform it into a loser- i.e., illegal immigration is desirable because its pro business.
