"Excuse me, I meant that Bush tells him to fight terrorists and the Saudis pretend to, not that Bush tells them to pretend to. I think it's undeniable that Bush has put pressure on Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia may have gotten tough on Al Qaeda recently, but Al Qaeda isn't the only terrorist organization out there."That's fair to say, though it is also fair to say that *recently* the Sauds have cut off terrorists' funding, made numerous anti-terror raids, captured and killed the top 24 of 25 Al qaeda leadership terrorists inside Saudi Arabia itself, as well as aided the U.S. in pressuring Yemen to aid us in this fight.
Likewise, it's fair to say that Americans should have reasonable levels of trust and distrust of the Sauds analogous to how we felt about West German cooperation against the Communists circa 1949 after just being at war with them 4 years earlier.

"They *might* hate Osama, but that doesn't mean they don't like what he does to us."At least they hate Osama. That puts them above the French and Senator Murray.

Dead? Then why is the MSM reporting his condition is improving. I don't think they are referring to aging.

They do have a reverence for Osama, but the only two reasons the Sauds would ever help us is for our dollars. That's why they may have not liked September 11th, although they enjoyed watching the "infidels" get killed. Yes, I know about the tension that bin Laden and the so-called Royal Family have, but that doesn't mean they are not radicals.

Too bad I was going to organize a hog roast in his honor and use the profits to buy Bibles for needy Saudis.

Are we now going to see days of Middle Eastern women screaming in the streets like someone shot them in the forehead with a nail gun? They DO go on over there when a leader dies.

Now it's a question of who the head of the Saudi Military supports.
