We need to take the war on terror into the inner cities, and start treating these street thugs as enemy combatants and rid them from our society.

I agree. Insurgency starts with this type of behavior and like the 60's criminals can be used for political purposes. A good portion of our politician's today come from a forgiven criminal agenda. We will have to fight them sooner or later or they will rule by force and intimidation.
