9/11 conspirator passed date of attack to al-Qaeda leaders

A German-based Moroccan fugitive played a more significant role as a messenger in the U.S. terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, than previously thought.

According to an intelligence report given to a German court by the United States, Zakariya Essabar allegedly traveled from Germany to Pakistan in August 2001 bearing a simple message for the al-Qaida leadership -- eleven-nine, which is an alternate version of the Sept. 11 date, the Washington Post said Tuesday.

Germany named Essabar a fugitive shortly after the attacks as investigators began unraveling the trail left by the Hamburg-based cell to which many of the hijackers allegedly belonged. The man tried to get a U.S. visa, but was denied.

The intelligence report said Essabar was being specifically groomed to become a hijacker, based on the interrogation of another central al-Qaida suspect from Hamburg. That man is a Yemeni citizen who was captured in Pakistan in 2002 and is being held by U.S. authorities at a secret location, the Washington Post reported.

I remember some Arab saying he got a call from Atta and it was in code. Atta said "two sticks" and "a cake with a stick hanging down". I took it as a double code...The two sticks being the towers, the cake with the stick hanging down being the Capital Bldg and Mall....and the date....11-9 (military style). It also includes the time: 9:00 - 11:00.

So we have targets (in order), date and time all in one message.

I believe it was confirmed that a bunch of Usama dudes had gathered to watch it as it happened AND I believe that someday we will find a tape that will confirm that some Usama boys filmed the whole damn thing.
