As a Family Physician I have little to no use for the psychiatric profession. The severely mentally ill can be helped somewhat such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorders but for most other "conditions" it is useless to harmful. The big problem is most psychiatrists do not want to treat the truely mentally ill
(no money in it)so it is best to treat unhappy women with money and their children.

Yes--but as a family physician, you are what I call a "real" doctor. If someone has a laceration, you diagnose it and treat it. Further, you treat who comes to you for help--and you heal them.
A psychiatrist's dream patient is a wealthy neurotic who is well behaved in session, but will never, ever be "healed." That way, the bills can keep being sent.

Yeah...can't really disagree. The only thing I would add is that for some with severe depression, drugs can be lifesavers (but, then again, ECT does well for those people also).
And, to a lesser degree, some of the anxiety disorders respond fairly well to pharmacotherapy.

As a person in mental health, boy do I agree.

Grammatically unfocused, but most women will be more agreeable if you throw money and children their way.
