Has she clarified her position on life yet like Liddy Dole did when she ran for Senate?

Personally, I think this is a good strategy to secure a slot as a VP frontrunner...

There hasn't been a successful draft campaign since the days of brokered conventions. It's not going to happen now. If she wants to run, she'll have to run.

Sounds like she is making her intentions known, unlike Shrillary!

She's not "all that" enough to be drafted. Sorry, please learn a respect for life in line with your stated Christian beliefs first. George Allen already does.

My vote is for Cheney/Rice in '08... then Condi can run at the top of the ticket in 2012.

It's only three and 1/2 years to election day, never too early to start planning!

Not only that but I feel strongly that you can't have run a candidate for president that has never been in an election campaign. Way too many landmines out there. It's not anti-black or anti-woman to say Condi needs to get some campaign experience before running for the biggest job in the world.

If you thought the Dims and the MSM were racist and rude to her at her confirmation hearings, you haven't seen 1/10th of what they would do if she was the Republican nominee for president.

Allen sounds like the best of the field right now but I'm not sold yet.

I doubt she really is interested but if'n she is then she needs to step forward and asked for the nomination just like the others will do.... There aren't brokered conventions these days and Condi knows that.... This sounds like someone stirring the pot to me, jmo.

Agree - Rice is no where near ready to be President.

The job is simply to serious of a position for us to simply allow anyone (just because she agrees with GWB) to get the nomination.

She is not at all ready for prime time. I am usually quite disappointed in her performances on the weekend talk shows.

Agreed. She needs to earn it in the vicious political arena. It will not be handed to a neophyte.

Oh you mean "Let's get her out there right now; so we can see what she's really like; and if we have to we can get rid of her in the early rounds".

Sounds like one of the Clintons tactics.

Jeb/Condi or Rudy/Condi would probably be the strongest tickets for 08, but it looks like Jeb doesn't want to do it.

I don't understand all the talk about "brokered conventions". Ike was drafted to run, refused at first, then gave in and became the nominee and eventually was elected.

I was thinking that running for the nomination in '08 would estabish her credibility nationally as a excelllent veep.

The way it would work is that she'd be drafted to run, like Wesley Clark and Ross Perot. There would be a huge amount of interest in this scenario and then she'd announce she'd jump into the race in the fall of 2007. I'm not sure if she could raise the cash she'd need that quickly, though. That would be the only issue.
