Breaking News: Lindsey Graham Going Wobbly? Call (202) 224-5972

"Breaking news: Word is that Lindsey Graham may be a lynchpin in a bad deal being cooked up on judges. Lindsey, can you hear us? We will not be able to hold back a primary challenge if there is some backroom deal with your name on it backstabbing the president's judicial nominees. Politics and principle happily converge here: Every judge, and the American people, deserves an up-or-down vote. Those wishing to fortify Senator Graham can contact his offices ( http://lgraham.senate.gov/index.cfm?mode=contactform )"

The deal he has reportedly cooked up is that the DemoncRATs will present a list of judges to Bush that they deem acceptable and as long as Bush picks from their approved list then the DemoncRATs may not fillibuster them.

I'm starting to think that representatives are castrated before they're allowed to take a seat in the senate.

Could you elaborate on that?

I'm not clear on what you are saying.

Lyndsey Graham is a Hillary Clinton/John McCain bootlicker. Ever since he got into the Senate he has become pathetic!

Do they realize that this is not their place to do this?

Oh, silly me. I forgot. Demoncrats don't play by the rules and have special rules created just for them.

So basically, the dems are picking the judges with this deal? Maybe they did win after all? We (the DC RNC Establishment) are acting that way.

What part of "all the President's judges deserve an up and down vote does he not understand?"

Look, Mr. Graham, if you don't like how things are going to be in Washington after this hard vote, just leave now and go back to South Carolina.

You make a deal with the devil on this to preserve your place at the cocktail parties and the entire South of Conservatives, not just South Carolina will make sure your primary opponent is so well funded you'll be lucky to get 15% of the vote. Do not be a traitor on this. As a House Impeachment Manager you would have thinked you would have learned something about how it feels to be undercut. Feeling guilty?

Would someone please slap the Reps and remind them that they won.

Conservatives cannot allow this precedent to be set. I do not understand the Reps reluctance to do what is necessary. Perhaps the dems are looking at some FBI files.

NO DEALS!

Yes Linsey Graham has become a stranger to real Republicans. He is probably the biggest dissapointment lately at least. I find it hard to believe the Senator is the same person. I guess the old saying "POWER CORRUPTS" is in play here. It is so sad, we have a chance to at least get some balance on the courts and it is "ALWAYS THE SO CALLED REPUBLICANS THAT CAVE." WHY LINDSEY ???????????????

I have just gotten off the phone with Graham's office, and was assured this was not the case. Told a staff member I did not want Graham making any deal with Democrats, and believed he was stabbing our President in the back with his actions. I asked the staffer if he agreed with what Graham was doing. He answered he believed I might agree with Graham in a couple of weeks if they got the nominees "an up or down" vote. He knows Graham is in trouble in SC now! Too bad we don't have recall here.

Called all of the numbers, but couldn't get through until the last one, where I told them that I would definitely contribute money to a primary challenger if he did this deal.

Keep calling and letting him know where we stand, FReepers!

A compromise will be nothing less than a Republican sell-out at this point.

If the democrats were to present the President with such a list and were he to say "Okay" they will betray him immediately across America for not holding to his principles.

That is what the democrats did to his father over the tax increase.

They begged him to go along with a tax increase and then tubed him in the election by playing "Watch my lips" over and over.

You better remember it and heed the lesson: Democrats will sell out a Republican every time on every issue. They are not pro-Constitution or pro-America. Democrates want only power for their party.

Say "NO"

I am pledging everything I have to fund out of state opponents of RINO's whether they be in primary or general elections that betray us on this vote.

Remember folks. Speak politely, but firmly. Remind him that you can and will send money to those who oppose him in office, that you will work hours and hours to support his opponent, and that you will remind friends and neighbors of his spineless positions day after day after day.
