we believe that with U.S. leadership and trans-Atlantic cooperation, we can achieve a solution that produces long term stability for the Balkans by moving the whole region into the Euro-Atlantic family of nations.

The "solution" is not outlined. Local government control in this postage stamp is laughable and meaningless, except for the one Serb canton maybe.

This one has no solution, except facts on the ground, all the diplomatic chatter to the contrary. The two communities hate each other.

The short term is somewhat foggy, I'll grant you.

However, the tea leaves I'm reading say independence, then integration into Europe, alongside all the other former Yugoslav Republics.
