On Wednesday Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine sent the deputies request of Oleg Tyagnibok to the prosecutor general, the minister of Internal Affairs and the head of Security Service of Ukraine to bring a criminal action against the leader of Progressive Socialistic Party of Ukraine Natalia Vitrenko. She is accused of high treason and impingement on state sovereignity and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
We remind, Natalia Vitrenko initiated impeachment to the president, who, in opinion of progressive socialists, violates Constitution of Ukraine and Declaration of sovereignty, and also demanded to stop selling Ukrainian lands, to stop fascism and to give the Russian language the status of the state language.
While bringing impeachment charges against Yushchenko might not be exactly the best idea politically, for the government to charge these parlimentarians with high treason is pure dictatorial power mad insanity.
Sorry, wrong thread earlier.

Got to love this version of "democracy". Imagine Clinton bringing up the GOP on treason charges for his impeachment attempts.
Ukraine, as usual, travels her own road ;-)
