American media: telling it like it isn’t - (why are our leaders GROVELING to Islam & the Koran?)

The disgraceful dhimmitude that has attended the Newsweek Qur'an hoax:

The American Government was all set to summon Sherlock Homes and Inspector Clouseau to Guantanamo Bay: Word was out that someone had placed a Qur’an on the toilet. Or was it in the toilet? Did it even happen? Actually, once again, an irresponsible report was produced by our media that has resulted in more than a dozen unnecessary deaths at the hands of rioting Muslims.

Apparently these fools have no idea how easily an erroneous report like this incites a group of people who are not known for being rational in the first place to step up their continual rage and aim it at the United States.

From the tiresome, overplayed naked “Twister” games at Abu Ghraib, to Kevin Sites, the imbedded “Journalist” who filmed a Marine shooting a Muslim who was playing dead at a Fallujah mosque in Iraq, to this. If the media is on the side of our enemies, and against the nation that gives them the freedom to be so stupid, they should move to the Middle East and see if they’re allowed freedom of the press over there. Would they appreciate America once they did move to the Middle East and had their tongues cut out for misreporting the news over there?

The manner in which the major news networks have reported this war is a disservice to the American people and a complete disgrace to the American Armed Forces. What they ought to know by now is that when a Muslim is jailed, it’s extremely common for them to lie and accuse their jailers of torturing and humiliating them.

The manner in which our government has handled this particular report is just as ridiculous.

Almost immediately, we saw our esteemed Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and White House Press Secretary Scott McClellen attempting to soothe the rioting Muslim world.

Secretary Rice said: "Disrespect for the holy Koran is not now, nor has it ever been, nor will it ever be, tolerated by the United States, "We honor the sacred books of all the world's great religions. Disrespect for the holy Koran is abhorrent to us all."

I'm not sure whom Ms. Rice was referring to when she used the term “abhorrent to us all”, but for the hundreds of millions of people around the world who actually understand who we’re fighting in this inadequately named “War on Terror”, it’d be surprising to learn that anyone has lost a second’s worth of sleep over the Qur’an being placed on, or dunked into a toilet. After all, it’s not like there aren’t verses in that book that needed to be washed away centuries ago. And to describe it as being “holy”, is truly a matter of opinion -- take, for example, verses 4:34, 4:89, 5:17, 5:51, 8:12, 9:5 and 9:29.

Do all of these Muslims even know why they’re angry and why they’re rioting?

Since 9/11, the Muslim world has had nearly four years to prove that Islam contains a majority of moderates, with only a small minority of Islamic terrorists who have merely “hijacked” Islam, and that Islam, as it is so regularly described, is truly a “religion of peace”. Where is their evidence? Muslims have brought to us 3000 murders on our soil, thousands of murders overseas, billions of dollars lost, memories of raging fires, mangled bodies and steel, and an obese, toothless Palestinian woman in her hijab dancing in the street of her slum on 9/11 after the WTC towers collapsed. Memories that will last us a lifetime -- not to mention billions of dollars more being spent prosecuting Islamic criminals inside the United States to this day. Here is our evidence:

Here are a few quotes from these “peaceful” Muslims that our officials were tripping over themselves to appease:

Mohammad Hanif, a Muslim cleric who runs a seminary in Chaman, a Pakistani tribal town: "They should be hung. They should be killed in public so that no one can dare to insult Islam and its sacred symbols”.

“Demonstrations serve no purpose, we should do something practical. I am ready to blow myself up for the sake of my religion to embrace martyrdom," Mohammad Ghafoor, an 18-year-old student.

"The Holy Koran was defiled by the dirtiest of hands, by American hands," a protester shouted at the Jabalya refugee camp in Gaza, where U.S. and Israeli flags were also burned.

While Muslims are kicking and screaming, nothing has been mentioned about desecrated Bibles, Christian churches being burned to the ground, or Christians being persecuted in Islamic lands. The only concern of these odious rioters is their Qur’an.

Can free societies honestly afford to permit any further Muslim immigration? This column certainly does not pertain to Arab Christians, Arab Jews, Christian Africans or Hindus, but to Muslims and the Islamic ideology. Do the governments of free societies honestly know what they’re getting their nations into?

Why is it necessary to coddle the Muslim world, which hates us and always will? Here’s an idea: as soon as they apologize for everything the world has had to put up with from them, including the mistreatment of non-Muslims in who live in Islamic nations, then maybe we’ll give a damn about a version of Muhammad’s visions getting soaked in the loo, if it’s ever proven to have happened.

Finally, a note to our government officials: Please stop groveling to Muslims. It’s sickening to watch. Regardless of this admitted reporting error, they now have another excuse to be enraged. Please show some damn dignity and strength. Act as if you’re American and stand up as if you possess a spine.

I generally treat the Christian Bible with respect, even though I'm not a Christian. If I were to come into contact with the Torah, I would treat it with respect, even though I'm not Jewish. And if I were to come into contact with the Koran, I'd treat it with respect as well, even though I'm not Muslim.

I understand that these are sacred writings to the adherents of those religions, and act accordingly.

However, I routinely flush Newsweek down the toilet.

I know the story wasn't true. But the prior outrage of the media over the event that never took place makes me wonder, "where the hell is common sense?"
Lets say there was a Koran in the toilet. You can burn the American flag, but god forbid there's a Koran in the toilet. The same people up in arms about how burning our flag is freedom of speech, well then what the hell is this? The Left doesn't care about a symbol when it's a national symbol, but when it's an Islamic one- well then "Let's respect that one." Since when do we as a nation recognize the Koran? If drowning a Koran in the toilet is enough to make someone talk- then well THANK GOD WE DIDN'T HAVE TO USE TORTURE. I mean, let's see- you can't torture them, you can't have beautiful women paraded around them, and now you can't touch their Koran.

This is crazy. After the WTC fell, the MSM refused to repeatly show the planes impacting the towers, and would not even show the people jumping off the building because it might enrage the Americans to attack the Muslims in the US. Yet when they printed the story about the Koran, the MSM did not seem to care about enraging Muslims to attack Americans. The MSM is the enemy within. One day the people will be fed up with their sedition and they will round the MSM up and take them to the nearest highest building and throw them off.

This is a core problem we have not fully understood yet.
In much of the third world, not only the arab world, the only thing that is respected is absolute "raw" power. Any time we show anything but control, or make nice, allow little things like giving terrorists their own Koran in Guantanamo or whatever, it is interpreted as "weakness". We need to learn little things like this. strentght all the time is important, remember Saddam Husein, how did he stay in power? Not that we should emulate him but strenght or absolute power is an important concept in the third world.

We don't have to respect their religion. This is a secular country isn't it. The left says it as at least. And from a conservative standpoint, we don't have a national religion. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion". I know it's war, and the constitution doesn't apply to POWs but really since when are we impelled to respect foreign symbols?

The first thing most Westerners don't understand about Islam, dhimmitude and Jihad is that it is a psychological war and we are losing. We are losing because we are playing by their rules. Their rules demand that we acknowledge a special exception for Muslims. We are to hold their beliefs above our own. That's bunk. The left ridiculed the protestors who stood outside of civic arenas when Marilyn Manson toured. These were city owned venues inside which Brian Warner (Ms. Manson) regularly tore pages from the Christian Bible wile onstage.

I don't think that anyone was saying it was illegal for him to do this but certainly it was offensive to their faith and they could ask the city to deny him access to the venue for his performances.

"As irresponsible as Newsweek was, the resulting violence, in and of itself, was not caused by Newsweek, but by those who used the story to incite rioting. Newsweek needs to be held accountable for what it did, but those who rioted and murdered need to be held accountable for what THEY did. Newsweek did not murder innocent people.
