Hopefully this is a defense shooting. If not, this is the first major poor decision(that I know of) by a permit holder in the 4 years we've had concealed carry.

"Police said the suspected gunman has a concealed weapons permit and his weapon is registered."

If this is true, prepare for the MSM to go ballistic against concealed carry.

If the weapon was registered did that stop the crime from being committed?

We've had registration in Michigan since the Ku Klukster Klan introduced it in the 20's to keep "them" from having guns.

How many crimes has Michigan had since the 20's?

you're all gonna die...

Well yup thats true and the only thing left to debate is what particular method we'll go out with.

If only the hysterical press would grasp that.

They can't grasp it...hell I feel safer knowing that a half dozen people I work with CC, they are all straight shooters and think it is a cruel joke that I cannot CC until I have my GreenCard, but I tell them rules are rules and I have to play by the rules...

You think you feel bad waiting for your green card. I live in the peoples republic of IL. You have to be a God's second cousin to legally carry around here. The only folks armed are the bad guys.

There are many stories like the one where a guy broke into an apartment to do a woman bodily harm if you know what I mean, she struggled with him got a pistol and killed him. The put her on trial because she owned her gun illegaly.

I'll admit your situation is totally worse...Looks like the scumbags err I mean politicians in your area figure the Bill of rights is some old paper for the recycling bin...

Pretty lame if you ask me...There is no way I'd convict a woman for defendng herself like that...

The bill of rights ?

I kid you not. In O'Hare airport out by the ticket counter area way off in the corner is a little sign about 6 inches square. It says essentially that the City of Chicago has designated this area as an appropriate area to practice the right of free speach. Apparently you can only practice that when and where the govt says......

Happy freeping.
