What can non-residents do? Both my Senators are Republican and are nowhere near as weak kneed as Senators Hagel, Spector, or Collins.

Resident or not, I have sent my emails and made calls.
These guys are on a short list for the 2006 anti-incumbent vote...especially Specter, who should have been shown the door a LONG TIME ago.

I've been calling them this afternoon using this FREE number to the Capitol:

1-877-762-8762

Doesn't matter where you live I just say I'm a Republican who has donated to their campaigns (we do so through the RNC so it is not a lie.)

You should add John Warner (R) of Virginia. Received an email from American Family Assn. saying he is leaning towards continuing the filibuster. Call his office at the following locations: Richmond, 804-739-0247; Norfolk, 757-441-3079; Abington, 276-628-8158; Roanoke, 540-857-2676.

Were gonna get screwed again on this one. Just Watch.

Fox is reporting a compromise is imminent.

It's the same old s__t Harry Reid has been peddling for a month, but FOX says it appears he has six GOP traitorous scumbags ready to sign up.

Anyone want to guess which of the usual suspects?

I sent the below letters via fax only. See fax numbers below.

(I briefly talked with Senator George Allen about judicial nominations at an event a few weeks ago and Allen suggested faxes, emails, and telephone calls be made to possibly wavering GOP Senators. He said that regular letters take so long to process now, following the anthrax attacks of 4 years back, that the regular mail letters would not get to the Senate staff in time.)

In addition to Warner and the three Senators on your list, I also sent a fax to Senator Lott because of the possibly erroneous reports that he is seeking a deal to block the Const. option.

FAX LETTER TO WARNER

The Honorable John Warner
Senator from Virginia
225 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510 BY FAX ONLY TO 202-224-6295

[I'm not sure that the fax number is right or that the fax went through. Therefore, I emailed the same to Warner using the form at http://warner.senate.gov/contact/contactme.cfm ]

Re: Need for the Constitutional Option

Dear Senator Warner:

Would you be so kind as to publicly endorse the Constitutional option? After several years of Democrat obstruction and their creating an unconstitutional 60 vote requirement to get a judicial nominee confirmed, the Constitutional option of returning to judicial confirmations by majority vote is absolutely necessary.

The Constitutional option is absolutely necessary and way overdue.

As a long-time Republican, who has voted for you numerous times since you first appeared on the ballot in 1978, I am counting on you to take a strong stand in favor of the Constitutional option.

Please confirm that I made the right decisions when I voted for you.

LETTER AS SENT TO SENS. LOTT, HAGEL, SPECTER, AND COLLINS WITH ADDRESS INFO FOR EACH BELOW

The Honorable Trent Lott
Senator from Mississippi
487 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510 BY FAX ONLY TO (202) 224-2262

Please do NOT betray the trust the Republicans across the country by entering into a deal with the Democrats. The Constitutional option is absolutely necessary and way overdue unless the Democrats stop their unconstitutional filibusters.

As a long-time Republican, who has provided donations to your campaigns either directly or via various Republican entities such as the National Republican Senatorial Committee, I am counting on you to take a strong stand in favor of the Constitutional option.

Please confirm that I made the right decisions when I contributed to you.

SAME LETTER SENT TO BELOW THREE SENATORS VIA FAX

The Honorable Arlen Specter
Senator from Pennsylvania
711 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510 BY FAX ONLY TO (202) 228-1229

The Honorable Susan M. Collins
Senator from Maine
461 Dirksen Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510 BY FAX ONLY TO (202) 224-2693

The Honorable Chuck Hagel
Senator from Nebraska
248 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510 BY FAX ONLY TO (202) 224-5213

Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Nebraska) 202-224-4224

Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pennsylvania) 202-224-4254

Remember Sen. Arlen Spector, the President spent his valuable time getting you re-elected. You are obligated, man. Big Time. We could have had a real republican sitting in your chair had he not.

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) 202-224-2523
