To all you Muslim Terrorists out there: This idiotic report by the worthless magazine newsweek (a magazine with no credibility or truthfullness) is only being reported to hurt the Bush Presidency and Administration. They don't care about the Muslim population, they only want to hurt the President. Don't belive any of this. Besides, how could a book be flushed down a toilet?? It doesn't fit.
Sounds vaguely familiar... Rather Blather I'd say.
I say good to Newsweek for engineering the demise of 17 primitive barbarians. If these yo-yos were even slightly civilized they wouldn't go into such a murderous frenzy over the plight of imprisoned terrorists (at Abu Gaharib), nor would they be killing each other over the disposition of a book.
Mr. Whitaker said in an interview later, "We're not retracting anything. We don't know for certain what we got wrong."
Which means they don't know what they got right, either.
"Maybe wrong, maybe right, we have no clue, and we don't really care."
That's the brand of "journalism" practiced at Newsweak, and with Eleanor Clift as a star columnist, who would be surprised?
One brand new tagline for sale: "Newsweek has killed more people than my guns." Will sell cheap to a good home.
The Newsweek punks have missed the whole point. Even if this story IS actually true, they still should not print it because it would be a small isolated incident within the 1.2 million people who serve in the US Military. The Newsweek punks have to learn to be responsible and not print or publicly discuss certain isolated incidents that are damaging to America and/or could lead to retaliation against Americans. The Newsweek punks are so eager to discredit the Bush Administration and the US Military that they never consider the consequences of what they print in their trashy magazine. The are like bratty kids in their lack of responsbility and complete lack of professionalism.
I wish these "bratty kids" would see what has been posted about them, they need to know how stupid they appear on the world stage, bird-brains, no-nothings and we ain't gonna tell you any more secrets. May you rot in the well.
Can't take this one back, the damage is already done.
Last time I read Newsweek was in a dentist office while waiting for my root canal about 10 years ago. Still, to this day, it is debatable what was more painful....trying to read that crap or the Root canal.
I thought living conditions at Gitmo were supposed to be "inhumane", but now Newsweek's telling us about some awesome plumbing they've got down there. Anybody here got a toilet at home that can swallow a book?
"Prisoners sometimes deliberately plug up toilets."
Somewhere today I read that that's what happened, some prisoner tore off pages of the Koran and stuffed them in the toilet in an attempt to get it to back up, as some form of protest. Somehow Newsweek spun this into big, bad US soldiers flushing volumes of the Koran down the john. The media trips all over itself in its anxiety to portray the US in a bad light.
My advice would be to bring your own reading material if you ever visit a proctologist.
OK I just that Sheila crud in at the end. "It is an open wound"
I've written a few emails to reporters in the MSM that questioned the way they wrote their "news" articles, and I've been surprised at some of the deceptive replies and outright lies I've received in response to these emails. And these were writers for big-time MSM newspapers. Too many of these writers are now just dishonest, deceptive punks and brats. I know what kind of people they are because I grew up with them in the 60's and 70's and I had to deal with them at school.
LOL!
The MSM is the propaganda arm of our enemies.
Well said.......BRAVO BUMP
A book came out last week called "Inside the Wire" by Erik Saar. After the book came out there was a retraction by the publisher about a erroneous statement contained in the book (pgs 191-192). Perhaps this may be their 'source'.

Bastiges.
When ADULTS apologize they not only express their understanding that what they did was wrong, their sense of shame for having done it, and their appreciation of the insult to those they wronged, but they also offer to make reparation, to compensate for the consequences of the wrong they did, to the extent possible.
These individual reporters and editors and the magazine should offer to pay wrongful death damages to the families of those killed in the riots, and to compensate those in the military for placing them in greter peril.
Such damages should be enough to bankrupt the individuals and the corporation, and if they meant their apology, they would willingly suffer that consequence and express horror at the loss of life brought on by their irresponsibility.
When CHILDREN apologize, they usually mean "I regret being caught and I hope you won't punish me."
Exercise for the reader: Is Newsweek or are the reporters apologizing like children or like adults?
Extra Credit: Should they get "regular" or "extra crispy"?
