Washington, D.C. - This week, American Life League's Rock For Life-America's premiere pro-life youth organization-will participate in the Cornerstone Christian Music Festival in Orlando, spreading the message that all life is sacred, from fertilization to natural death. "The Cornerstone festival is always a great event that gathers together young people from across the country who are committed to the truth," said Erik Whittington, director of Rock for Life. "We are eager to be a part of the festival and spread the message about the attacks on today's youth by the culture of death."
Rock for Life representatives will man a booth at the festival and distribute pro-life brochures, T-shirts and bumper stickers, while educating thousands of young adults about pro-life truths. "This is a generation of survivors," said Whittington. "Over one-third of their brothers and sisters have been lost to abortion and they want to be the ones who bring this tragedy to an end."
The Cornerstone Florida festival is one of the first events kicking off Rock for Life's tour schedule. Throughout the spring and summer, the group will travel more than 7,000 miles attending at least ten major Christian Music festivals across the nation. "While our society tells them differently, young people recognize the truth that abortion and all attacks on human life are dead wrong," said Whittington. "Rock for Life is here to equip these young adults with the tools they need to become strong voices and advocates for those vulnerable individuals who cannot speak for themselves."

Kinda like preaching to the choir, isn't it?
..it will attract Christians and non-Christians.
Also, don't assume those youngsters who attend a Christian event like this understand or have a prolife perspective.
Many have been caught in the propaganda war which disregards 'life' and permeates our public schools, media, movies, etc.
This is a great opportunity to inform and educate!
I'd love to see the percentages of non-Christians that attend these. I'd hazard to guess that it's WAY under 5%. You'd reach more folks that aren't pro-life by randomly sitting up a booth outside the local Wal-Mart or grocery store!
So why don't you do just that.

Maybe, but maybe they have to eat too. I doubt a lot of mainstream people book these acts.
It's probably mostly "preaching to the choir" since the young folk who attend more than likely have already learned of the pro-Life position through their parents and churches.
Still, rock music and an opportunity to "party" (in a wholesome way, of course) will attract kids of all types. This is a great way to get the pro-Life message out.
Not to mention, sometimes it's simply comforting and refreshing to fellowship with the rest of the rather large "choir" standing for something good and true. Especially when you're a teenager.
So, knocking this effort for the reason you stated is pretty silly.
The secret is to also book bands that are "mainstream" but oppose abortion. There are conservatives groups that are bankable for box-office.
I looked at their site and did not see any name bands (outside of P.O.D. who play up a Christian band profile to some audiences and deny it to others) on the pro-life list.
On the pro-abortion list, they have "the Ramones". 3 of the 4 founding members are dead. There is no band. Tommy and Marky and Ritchie were all drummers. CJ replaced Dee Dee. None of them represent the band much. Johnny Ramone, the leader of the group (who has been unjustly demonized by leftist music fans) was a conservative Republican going back to the 1960s. He appeared with the group on a "Rock The Vote" ad in 1992 but did not take a position on who to vote for/against. Registering IS a good thing. RTV has shown themselves to be another DNC front group.
At any rate, the band was split in their politics, split in their personal feelings, and doesn't not exist today. Might as well list the Beatles on this list even with 2 dead members and no hope for a reunion show.
And Wayne Kramer was the only member of MC5 who actually seemed to believe the hype that they were politically relevant. The hard left of the 1960s called them out on their politics and sexism.
The B-52's and some other performers could probably be ADDED to the pro-abortion list. There HAVE been a number of compilations for "choice" (abortion) of late so leftist pro-death bands have made it easier to identify them than the bands that stand up for the rights of all individuals, even those who's existence is an "inconvenience".
Oh, a Christian Rock festival! (running in opposite direction).
