"I think the Minutemen would probably create more problems than they would solve," Brownsville Mayor Eddie Trevino Jr. said. I am reminded of my time in South Florida in the 1980s, when the mayors and police chiefs of a few cities were arrested for heading conspiracies to assist enormous smuggling operations. They would arrange for the police to always be in the wrong place when the drugs were landed, and they were paid a fortune for this service.

Yes...good idea to go to the border in October when it will be pleasantly cool. Let the illegals travel through West Texas June-September when the killer temperatures provide some natural protection for our southern border. I think Texans will do a great job of defending our territory.

The border has to be closed. Bill O'Reilly has been saying this quite effectively and he mentioned poll number that the great majority of Americans agree. Only the politicians are reluctant and of course the terrorists/the hate American groups/drug dealers and perverts are livid when this topic comes up

Centurion posted this on the now closed duplicate thread:
[From the article:]But Simcox says there are serious logistical problems for patrols in Texas. Most of the land along the Texas border is privately owned,

I sure as hell would.
Me too. I'd bake them a cake...from scratch.

I will absolutely guarantee that sheer number of the counter-protestors will shock some freepers if the Minutemen do come to Texas. There are many here who simply have no clue.

Texas border is a very dangerous place right now. But, all that said I wish the MMP well. God bless um.

We need to put some teeth in the law.
Anyone in the USA that is not legal should be made a felon with one year in jail and a $10,000 fine for the first time.
Anyone aiding or abetting these felons should have the same jail and fine for each criminal they help.
