D.C. Chapter v. Code Pink and Liberal Media, Three Game Series, 4/29 - 5/01/05
D.C. Chapter ^ | Thursday, April 28, 2005 | Kristinn

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us in our nation's capital this weekend as we play a three game series against the liberals and leftists working to undermine America from within.

Friday, April 29, from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. we will gather at the northeast corner of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, NW to counter Code Pink's so-called antiwar demonstration at the gates of Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Saturday, April 30, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. we will gather at the southeast corner of Connecticut Avenue and T Street, NW, across from the Washington Hilton for our seventh annual freep against liberal media bias outside the White House Correspondents Association dinner. Details here.

Sunday, May 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. we will gather on the sidewalk on the north side of Lafayette Park at 16th Street and H Street, NW to counter Code Pink's so-called antiwar rally in front of the White House.

For the counter-demonstrations against Code Pink, please bring American flags, signs bearing messages supporting our troops and their mission fighting the war on terrorists as well as signs informing the public about Code Pink's America hating Red roots.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

The weather forecast for this weekend is for chances of rain Friday and Saturday, clear on Sunday. Temps in the 60s for most of the time we'll be out and about.

A note about Code Pink: The group is dedicating their Friday night protest at Walter Reed to "pay special tribute to Marla (Ruzicka) and all the Iraqis who have suffered from the violence of the war and occupation conducted in our name."

Their Sunday rally at Lafayette Park will mark the second anniversary of President Bush announcing the end of major combat operations in Iraq (and the birth of the terrorist insurgency cheered on and aided by Code Pink.)

Somebody bring an organ! Batter up!

BTW, that "Batter up" was not a threat of violence against the Code Pinkos, I am a man of peace and I'll whomp anyone who says different! ;-)

I find all of this baseball lingo and these sports references to be very intimidating. I think you guys should just tone down your rhetoric!

And bringing an "organ" to anything involving Code Pink would just be useless.

I'll be there in spirit, but I dare not attend. I'm known for my short fuse, and nothing infuriates me more than the commies of Code Pink! You would be bailing me out of the D.C. jail for sure. :)

Good call. The Code Pinkos try to provoke incidents with us, so you're doing the right thing by hanging back.

Geeze, Ernie Banks only spoke up for two as in "let's play two."

For domestic tranquility, I think Saturday is the only day I can suit up.

We're looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday night at the seventh annual (!) White House Correspondents Association dinner FReep. Sorry we had already made plans for Friday night (Washington Nationals game), and Sunday afternoon (driving home to CT).

See you in front of the Washington Hilton on Saturday! :-)
