Actually, now that you mention it, I did see something recently about a production of "Our Town".
It's a good play for high school, it's just been overdone and become a little stereotypical. There are a boat load of wonderful shows from the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s that are better fare for high school than Bat Boy.
Just off the top of my head, I can think of "7 Keys to Baldpate", "6 Characters in Search of an Author", the aforementioned "Teahouse of the August Moon", "Pygmalion" just to name but a fraction of the shows available.
