To: Cincinatus' Wife
*In July 1974, the U.S. House Judiciary Committee approved three articles of impeachment against President Nixon, charging obstruction of justice, abuse of power and contempt of Congress. The full House did not vote on those articles because Nixon resigned on August 9, 1974.

I was waiting for that point to be made! Saying that Nixon was impeached is like saying Sen. Frank Torricelli (D-NJ) was defeated in his re-election bid when he actually resigned so a Democrat who could win replaced him (Lautenberg).

I graduated from high school in the eighties and had to correct my TEACHERS when they would say Nixon was impeached!
