Detroit mayor to get national award
DETROIT (AP) Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has been recognized as an emerging leader by the Boston-based Initiative for a Competitive Inner City.
That comes just days after Time Magazine dubbed him one of the worst big-city mayors.
Kilpatrick faces an election this year and he's struggling to plug a major budget deficit. He received the award today at a ceremony in Boston.
The I-C-I-C cites successful development efforts in Detroit and says Kilpatrick's work is getting him noticed around the country.

What, an award for most incompetent mayor of a major US city?
Bet they're going to ask him to come to Boston to pick it up. Who would be stupid enough to set foot in Detroit?
Time Magazine listed him first as one of the top three worse mayors in the US
Lincoln Navigators for the mayor?
Which could be good or bad.

I've gotten my hope up too many times with this team. Until Joey Harrington gets it up here(points at head), I don't expect much.

Now back to my reply on the article posted: Detroit does suck. They'd suck even more if it weren't for their underground rap and rock music scene.
Which is why they are 93% Democrat(Literally).
It's no longer a White flight, It's a Green flight.
There's black flight as well. They go to Southfield.
