Yes, the "marketplace of ideas" that is the university ideal requires competition! Thanks for posting.
"Former University Sen. Joseph Nedick, a Rutgers College senior, had some choice words for Tent State University yesterday as he stood behind Voorhees Mall on the College Avenue campus in support of the Republican group of students who were present.
"This hippie love fest is an embarrassment to the University," said Nedick, who is also the managing editor of the Centurion newspaper.
Tent State University, founded on the grounds of the advancement of education, has also been an instrument of anti-war activism.
A group of less than 10 Republicans joined the hundreds of students present at Voorhees Mall, where they faced less than welcoming reactions early on.
Despite some trouble when the Republicans first arrived on site, the Republicans, with the allowance of TSU organizers, pitched a tent and remained separated from the main section of TSU.
"The organizers have done a lot to make sure that we can have a tent, which is a shift from their original opposition to us," Nedick said.
The group was allowed on both the basis of freedom of speech and for its support of higher education.
"[The organizers] have let us be here, but some of their friends have ripped our signs and harassed us, which is to be expected," Nedick said." (Emphasis mine)

No, your President's lack of support for its football team is an embarrassment.
