I really hope Ratzinger does not become the Pope. I watched the interview a reporter tried to have with him on a Rome street. The reporter was asking him about the child abuse and the priests. The priest was in an ugly mood and swiped at the reporter while scolding him. This was a while back but this man seemed to be far from Pope material.
I LOVE Ratzinger! I hope he DOES become pope, but I don't think it'll happen. He's very conservative and really knows his stuff. Most of the Cardinals think very highly of him, too. Don't let a little snippet of video guide your opinion of this fine man.
There is an old saying: He who enters a conclave as a Pope exits as a Cardinal.
