This not meant as a criticism of the south, but why is it that all political leadership for the past 15 years or so has come from the South.

It doesn't event matter which party: George W. Bush,

George H.W. Bush

Bill Clintoon

Tom Delay

Trent Lott

Al Gore

Newt Gingrich

Dick Army

Bill Frist

Dennis Hastert is from Illinois and Cheney is from Wyoming, but it seems to all the south had to do win the Civil War was get elected.

Just an observation...:-)

President Reagan, Tip O'neill and george mitchell?

Also, Tom Dashle, and Nancy Pelosi (Gephardt does count in the southern ranks I guess).
