And we should believe Moveon.org because ?????
Why is anyone in the media taking Moveon.org seriously??
Same agenda!!!
I believe I read somewhere that a DNC rep recently praised MoveOn as representing the "real" Dem party, so I think they have quasi-official status now.
Aside from that, this technique of Republican bashing supposedly by other Republicans must be very effective, because the Dems are using it a lot. There was an ad on the radio the other day about Social Security - opposing Bush's plan, of course - that had somebody saying in a reflective voice, "well, I'm a life-long Republican, but I [don't want to starve in the street, etc. - fill in the blanks]." It was sponsored by the Dems, of course.
It also had a snippet from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington that they had twisted to fit their ad. Jimmy Stewart was known to be a Republican, and the implication was that even though he's now dead, he wouldn't have liked the GOP either.
