DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. (AP) April 8, 2005 A judge gave neighbors in a Birmingham Township subdivision one more month to settle a scrap over political campaign signs, or at least leave each other alone. District Justice Rita Arnold ruled Thursday that if Harry Miller, Paul A. Benini and Carol Palmer comply, she will drop disorderly conduct citations against the three.
They were cited following a sign-brandishing, pepper-spraying quarrel two days before the presidential election. Miller, president of the Radley Run Homeowners Association, said he saw Benini and Palmer removing Bush-Cheney signs from an intersection, and told them the signs were posted legally.
Benini argued that the signs didn't belong on the subdivision's common open space. Miller said campaign signs had been posted there for 20 years. According to a police report, Miller tried to grab a sign from Palmer and she threw it in a van.
At one point, Benini raised a sign in the air, Miller told the judge. "I thought I was going to get hit with it," he said. "That's when I pulled out the pepper foam" and sprayed Benini.
After the hearing, the neighbors appeared willing to let tensions cool. Benini called Arnold's ruling "very fair." Miller said, "I hope this is the end of it."
Yup, PA was a battleground state!
I really can't say anything good about the anti-sign people.
You can only put political signs in the common area if they are lib signs. Didn't Miller know that??? Geesh wake up miller. end/sarcasim

Anybody on this site could have written the basics of this story from just reading the headline. A communist professor at berkley herbert aptaker once said " Freedom of speech is wasted on the Right." All rats must swear to uphold that idea when they register.
