Fresh from picking up dozens of illegal immigrants in Suffolk County for deportation because they'd been convicted of sex crimes, federal immigration officers have spread their net to neighboring Nassau.
Federal agents and Nassau police fanned out across the county Tuesday starting at 5 a.m., rousting the sex offenders out of their sleep, apprehending others on the streets and arresting some as they showed up for appointments with probation officers.
Officials said 25 were rounded up in Tuesday's sweep and taken to a federal detention facility. They also disclosed that agents had earlier arrested 16 immigrants in Nassau over the past few months.
About 85 percent of the convicted sex offenders victimized children, some as young as 9, said Salvatore Dalessandro, deputy special agent in charge of the New York office of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

When I left Suffolk County ( Riverhead Town ) for Japan in 1985 you hardly ever saw an alien illegal or otherwise ...My Mom tells me they're ubiquitous now , and crime rates are soaring ...Coincidence ? Our President , several Presidents before him , and our Congress are traitors and should be hung at dawn for allowing these people into OUR country ...Selling the futures of our children , grandchildren , and the unborn ...for pieces of Judas' gold ...Disgusted ...
