Members of the New York City Police Department are fobidden to dine in a few restaurants within Little Italy. They are owned by the mob. Any officer seen there will be watching traffic cams in Queens for the rest of their natural life.
Kerik dined there often and along with his other actions as Police Commissioner made it very plain that the rules were not meant for him.

I personally wish the scandal-ridden Kerik well, and hope he enjoys working as a grammar school crossing guard.
Of course, if that doesn't work out, what with his lengthy resume of personal peccadilloes, Kerik could switch to the Democrat party and become a US senator.
