Why is it the liberal's point of view that "free speech" means offensive, inaccurate, or defamatory speech that has NO consequences? The founding fathers knew that their words could get them literally hung by the English if prosecuted, yet Churchill misrepresents both his background, ethnicity, and others under the shield of free speech, yet feels that he can say as he likes without any fear of retribution.
Sorry, pal. That isn't the way it works. Unless, of course, you have the liberal professor's guarantee of non-persecution: tenure, and are saying the liberal line. Funny how political correctness can get a student expelled for saying the kinds of things Churchill said.
How did a fake Indian with only a Master's in communication get to be a professor and head of his own department anyway? I guess the rules for acquiring tenure are different (read it: more difficult) if you are the "member" of a minority group. You would think that faking credentials would be cause for dismissal.
Wonder who pays his appearance fee? Sure as h*** better not be tax payers' money.

I no longer hold the academy in much respect. A ditch digger is a more honorable profession than being a college prof. I read in one of Dennis Prager's books that Hitler's most loyal supporters came from the German intelligensia. He also observed that Communism is such a ridiculous idea that it could only be taken seriously by someone with multiple letters behind his/her name. The Vietnam War and the Great Society welfare state were spawned in think tanks operated by academians. Beware the Academy--it is a gaggle of fools cut loose from reality.

unfortunately in that i'd like to go back for a doctorate, but got so sick of the neo-marxist bent in my undergrad work - well, actually got dinged by them all the time for putting facts in the proper perspective ;-) that it feels like sysaphus rollin' those rocks up a hill.
it seems the main issue confronting us though, is that we desparately need to take back our educational forums, from kindergarten to post doctorate - and it is difficult to clean these cesspools out with just a garden hose... no?

Allegations of plagiarism mean nothing to UC. Does that mean that all student's term papers, thesis', lab reports, ... are fair game, too? Cheating on exams must be okay, too.
