See my last post. Their CCW law as it relates to carry in a vehicle is incredibily stupid.
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
I'm gonna look at the corbin swaged bullets I make with old .22 rimfire brass for a projectile for my FN reloads.
I believe 5.56 is the bore diameter, while groove diameter is 5.7mm.....I'm sticking to .224 dia projo's if so. I haven't any reloading data on the new round. Guess I'll surf and see what's on the net........
Damn....
"Police said carrying the gun - which costs in the neighborhood of $900, was first introduced as a military weapon and has the power to penetrate police protective vests -"
Wha...?? You throw the gun at the vest to get it to penetrate? It's the ammo, nimrods! Only the AMMO has the power, dimwits!!
Thanks!
For liberal reporters, anything bigger than a .22 short is armor piercing.
OK, I'll bite. What is a JBT?
If the OSP can insist on what laws get passed, then Ohio is a Police State. A silly Police State but still a Police State.
Since they stopped branding felons with a F on the cheek, that can happen to anybody.
Funny you mentioned the CZ-52. I'm going to pick one up tomorrow along with a case of ammo. Read a really good review on the MagSafes - screamin' velocity, but minimal overpenetration (which is a problem for FMJ). I'll have to get a few mags of those too.
I shot my friend's CZ a couple of months ago and really liked it. I recently decided it would make a good "truck gun". At the price, I can't go wrong.
I find it interesting that the media is in hysterics over the $900+ FN Five-Seven, but there's not a peep about a $100 CZ-52. Perhaps it flies "under their radar" because it's just an "old curio and relic firearm"?
Not to be pedantic, but it's the projectile. Throming ammuntion is no improvement on throwing the gun.
I'm with you on this one. I own guns, and I am sick of these whack jobs running around with cop killer setups and then whining when they get busted. That, and then his buddy with outstanding warrants in with him too? Come on folks, he is not the victim here. guys like him just ruin it for all of us who own guns, are responsible and safe, and ultimately give the gun control crowd more "ammo" to go after those of us who believe that you can safely own a gun to hunt or to protect yourself.

Oh, we call them cops up here in Seattle.
Not unlike the old curious relics in the MSM.......:o)
Enjoy yer toy Pocat ! BTW....don't dink with the grip clip that holds the grip panels on unless ya have a few spare on hand......just a friendly warning...they like to "break".....Buy spares to keep laying around just in case !
Stay safe and I hope yer Easter is easy.....
The shooting of the rats, and the fact there was a dump....times have changed.
Those oldies only become news when they're used in a crime, like when a Makarov (?)with a switched barrel was used to kill the anti 2A ex-DA up in the northwest.
Since they stopped branding felons with a F on the cheek, that can happen to anybody.
I'd say it's a coin toss. His passenger wasn't someone with a shadowy past, but someone currently going through the grinding wheels of justice. If one of my family/friends had outstanding warrants, I would know. Giving him a pass on his choice of passengers, and on misunderstanding the law, he's still an idiot for carrying a new weapon for self defense without having even fired it.
