Pray to give the parent's support and comfort! What Terri's real family must be suffering now! I can't comprehend it!

As Terri Schiavo's health waned, a federal judge refused Friday to order the reinsertion of her feeding tube, thwarting another legal move from the brain-damaged woman's parents in their battle against her husband to keep her alive. The parents quickly appealed the ruling.

For a second time, U.S. District Judge James Whittemore ruled against the parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, who had asked him to grant their emergency request to resume nourishment while he considers a lawsuit they filed. Their next step was not immediately known.

Hours after the decision, the Schindlers appealed again to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals (news - web sites) in Atlanta to review Whittemore's ruling. The Atlanta court refused before to overturn a previous Whittemore ruling.

Gov. Jeb Bush has ordered his legal team to scour state laws for a way to reconnect Schiavo's feeding tube. The process has been frustrating for the governor, who backs the Schindlers' cause.

Florida Statute Title IV Chapter 14.021. Ask Governor Bush to promulgate a state of emergency. His orders then have the force of law during the emergency. Email to:

Quite a contrast in caring for your loved one...Terri's family is moving heaven and earth just to keep her alive....and Michael Schavio sits back and lets his punk attorney do the talking....quite revealing....

Gov. Jeb Bush has ordered his legal team to scour state laws for a way to reconnect Schiavo's feeding tube. The process has been frustrating for the governor, who backs the Schindlers' cause.

Please Governor Bush there may be another way. Judge Greer has not only ordered that her feeding tube be withdrawn (the so called "artificial" support) he has also denied a request by her parents that she be given water and food by mouth. This order is clearly illegal for it passes into active euthanasia. Has Florida permitted this activity? No judge or guardian has the power to deny a person nourishment by natural means and it does not take an attorney to figure this out. I defy anyone to find legal authorization, even in Florida law, for this order.

As is stated in another thread on an article by a doctor (William Anderson) in the Weekly Standard titled "Terri's Last Chance" there is no medical, legal or moral reason to not attempt a trial of natural drinking. He argues all the outcomes of such a trial, even if it results in a quicker death, are better than refusing to allow her to attempt to take food and water on her own. Only Greer's order stops this and such an order is not within the power of a court to make.

Jeb and George Bush should blast Judge Greer out of the water on this illegal order and immediately give her water by mouth. They could march in with her parents and federal and state health officials and give her water by mouth and see if she can handle it. Greer is only getting away with this order by default because there has been so much focus on the feeding tube this other demonstrably illegal order is being ignored. Has his legal team even challened Greer's refusal to allow her to be given water by mouth? We don't know if Terri could accept enough nutrition to stay alive but every human being has the right to try to take a drink of water! If it works, this could allow time to dismiss Greer for violating her human rights by his order and overturn the guardian decision.

Judge Greer can divine Terri's wishes to a degree of clear and convincing evidence based on Michael Sciavo, his brother and his sister in law's testimony and You think this is dumb?

I agree we all must pray. Terri once said where there is life there is hope. I am a Catholic and last evening on one of the threads there was a lot of praying. I thought of St. Terese, known as the little flower of Jesus. Since she and Terri share the same name, albeit with different spellings, I looked up on the Internet Prayers to this particular St. St. Therese is associated with white roses and is said to send a white rose when a prayer is to be answered.

Last night I recited one of the prayers I found to her in addition to joining in with others here in prayer, and my own personal prayers. I finally went to bed about 1:00 am PT, only to be awakened this morning by a terrible back pain. I passed the computer on my way to get some Tylenol, and stopped to check in and see if there was any news about the judge's decision. The article had just been posted to the site with notice of his decision. Only seconds later I ran across a picture on one of the threads of a Florida Flag with a white rose superimposed on the center of the flag.

I have faith that this is not over and I know our prayers are being heard.

As an aside, I went looking for the thread so I could post a link to the flag and rose picture in this post, but couldn't find it. Perhaps some one else knows where to find it.

These poor parents need to rest. The judges have already determined she shall die. Its time to turn the whole matter fully to Jesus.
